Mentorship Circles

Foundational Texts, Group Study,
and Living Inquiry

Mentorship Circles are online group containers rooted in foundational texts, satsang-style teaching, expressive arts, and shared inquiry. They offer a strong first doorway into the school for new global students while also serving returning practitioners who want to remain in active relationship with the teachings.

Format Note:
Mentorship Circles are primarily offered online.

Routing Note:
All Mentorship Circle inquiries are routed through Rochelle Quarry via the school.

Intro

These circles are often organized around foundational texts the school returns to over time, including streams such as the Pratyabhijnahrdayam, Bhagavad Gita, Devi Mahatmyam, the Yoga Sutras, the Shiva Sutras, and other core sources that shape the school’s teaching field. The emphasis is not on philosophy as abstraction, but on how teachings become embodied, relational, and usable in lived practice.

How the Circles Work

Mentorship Circles typically combine satsang-style teaching with integrative process. Depending on the focus, this may include expressive arts, voice work, symbolic process, developmental frameworks, reflective practice, and occasional land-art invitations that help students metabolize teaching through direct experience.

Examples of the Work

Past circles have explored text, sound, symbol, and embodiment, including work with bija seed sounds, chakra study, developmental psychology, and voice. The aim is to create online circles where study remains alive, creative, and transformative rather than merely conceptual.

Why This Matters

Mentorship Circles are not only for returning students. They are also one of the school’s clearest entry points for new students around the world who want to study with the Institute before stepping into deeper pathways such as the Medicine Wheel, Shamanic Yoga Teacher Training, or retreat.

Begin with Study, Stay for the Depth

If you are seeking a serious but accessible online doorway into the school, Mentorship Circles offer one of the clearest places to begin. For all circle inquiries, the school will orient you through Rochelle Quarry.

Mentorship Circles FAQ

Mentorship with the Shamanic Yoga Institute offers ongoing guidance from senior faculty to help you deepen your study, refine your practice, and continue your personal and professional inquiry as a practitioner.

These mentorship streams are intended for practitioners who have completed foundational training and are ready to engage more seriously with Shamanic Yoga, energy work, and medicine teaching in a supported, relational way.

Current mentorship opportunities include private sessions with Christine Selda, a private mentorship program, a group mentorship series, and small group mentorship designed to prepare you to take the seat of the Medicine Teacher.

In the 5‑month, bi‑weekly Medicine Wheel mentorship, you apprentice with lead teachers, gain access to four Medicine Wheel Teacher’s Manuals, and workshop and practice-teach primary energy techniques for each direction, all within a small group of apprenticing lead teachers.

Through structured sessions, access to teacher manuals and resources, and apprenticing with senior faculty, the mentorship helps you deepen your understanding of curriculum, practice main processes, and cultivate the skills and integrity needed to hold circles and teach Medicine Wheel or Mastery level work in your own community.
